Gen Z: Numbers 19
And the Lord hit up Moses and Aaron, saying,
This is the law vibe the Lord dropped, telling them to tell the kids of Israel to bring a flawless red heifer, no cap, with no blemish, and no yoke ever touched it:
And you gotta hand her over to Eleazar the priest, so he can take her outside the camp, and one person will slay her right in front of him:
Eleazar the priest will take her blood with his finger and sprinkle it right in front of the tabernacle seven times:
Then one will burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, flesh, blood, and dung, all gonna get lit on fire:
The priest will grab cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet, and toss it into the heifer's flames.
After that, the priest will wash his drip, and bathe himself in water, then come back to the camp, but he’ll be unclean until evening.
The one who burns her has to wash his clothes in water and bathe himself too, and he’ll be unclean until evening.
A clean dude will scoop up the ashes of the heifer and stash them outside the camp in a clean spot, keeping it for the Israel squad for a water of separation: it’s a purification for sin.
The one who gathers the ashes will wash his clothes and be unclean until evening: it’s for the Israel crew and the outsider chilling with them, a forever rule.
Anyone who touches a dead body is unclean for seven days, periodt.
He’ll clean himself on the third day, and by the seventh day, he’ll be straight: but if he skips the third day, he won’t be clean on the seventh.
Anyone who touches a dead body and doesn’t clean up defiles the Lord's tabernacle; that soul is getting cut off from Israel: the separation water wasn’t sprinkled on him, so he’s still unclean.
This is the law when someone dies in a tent: everyone who enters and everything in there is unclean for seven days.
And every open container without a cover is unclean, no cap.
Anyone who touches someone killed by a sword in the fields, or a dead body, or a bone, or a grave, is unclean for seven days.
For an unclean person, they’ll take ashes from the burnt heifer for sin purification, and add running water in a vessel:
A clean person will take hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, all the vessels, and everyone there, and on anyone who touched a bone, or a dead one, or a grave:
The clean person will sprinkle on the unclean on the third and seventh days: on the seventh day, he’ll clean himself, wash his clothes, and bathe, and he’ll be clean by evening.
But the dude who’s unclean and doesn’t clean himself will get cut off from the congregation because he messed up the Lord's sanctuary: the separation water wasn’t sprinkled on him; he’s unclean.
It’ll be a forever rule for them that whoever sprinkles the separation water has to wash their clothes; and whoever touches that water will be unclean until evening.
And whatever the unclean person touches will be unclean; and anyone who touches it will be unclean until evening.
