Gen Z: Joshua 6
Jericho was totally locked down 'cause of the Israelites: no one was going in or out, fr.
The Lord told Joshua, "Yo, I got you. Jericho and its king are yours, no cap."
"You guys are gonna circle the city, all the warriors, and do it once a day for six days. Bet."
"On the seventh day, seven priests will carry seven trumpets, and you'll circle the city seven times while they blow those horns."
"When they blast that ram's horn and you hear the trumpet, everyone’s gotta shout loud, and the city's walls will just drop. Then everyone can roll in."
Joshua called the priests and said, "Grab the ark of the covenant and let seven of you carry those trumpets in front of the Lord's ark."
"Yo, people, move out and circle the city. Let the armed ones go ahead of the Lord's ark."
When Joshua told the people, the seven priests with the trumpets went ahead of the Lord, blowing those trumpets, and the ark followed them.
The armed crew went before the priests blowing the trumpets, while the rear guard followed the ark, priests still jamming on those horns.
Joshua told the people, "No shouting or noise till I tell you to shout; then you can pop off."
The ark of the Lord did a whole lap around the city, then they just chilled at camp. Vibes.
Joshua woke up early, and the priests grabbed the ark like it was no big deal. Lit.
Seven priests with rams' horns were blowing those trumpets non-stop, while the squad rolled out in front. Rizz on point.
They did another lap around the city on day two and then headed back to camp. Just six days of this grind.
On the seventh day, they woke up at dawn and circled the city seven times. It was a whole thing.
After the seventh lap, when the priests blew those trumpets, Joshua told the crew to shout; God was handing them the city. Periodt.
The city is a no-go zone for everyone except Rahab and her crew since she helped our messengers. Savage.
But yo, stay away from the cursed stuff, or you'll bring bad vibes on the camp of Israel. No cap.
All the silver, gold, and metal gear? That's all for the Lord; it’s going straight to the treasure. Bussin’.
When the priests blew the trumpets, the people shouted, and the walls just crumbled. They rushed in and took the city like it was nothing. Goated.
They straight-up wiped out everyone in the city, like no cap, all the peeps and animals got wrecked with the sword.
But Joshua was like to the two homies who scoped the place, "Slide into the harlot’s crib and grab her and all her stuff, just like we promised."
So the young spies went in, pulled out Rahab, her fam, and all her crew; they got everyone and left them chillin' outside the Israel camp.
Then they lit the city on fire and everything in it; only the silver, gold, and metal stuff got stashed in the Lord's treasury.
Joshua kept Rahab the harlot and her fam alive, and she’s still reppin' in Israel today 'cause she hid the messengers Joshua sent to check out Jericho.
Joshua was like, "Yo, if anyone tries to rebuild Jericho, they’re cursed; they’ll lose their firstborn and youngest to set up the gates."
So the Lord was vibin' with Joshua, and his rep was spreading all over the place.
