Gen Z: Joel 3
Yo, check it out, in those days, when I’m bringing back the squad from Judah and Jerusalem,
I’m also gathering all the nations and pulling them into the valley of Jehoshaphat, where I’ll vibe with them for my peeps and my heritage Israel, who got scattered everywhere and split my land.
They’ve been casting lots for my people, trading a boy for a harlot and selling a girl for some wine, just to get lit.
For real, what’s your deal, Tyre and Zidon, and all the Palestine coast? You tryna pay me back? If you do, I’ll hit you back quick with that same energy.
You took my silver and gold, flexing my good stuff in your temples.
You sold the kiddos of Judah and Jerusalem to the Grecians, trying to push them far from their turf.
Bet, I’m raising them up from where you sold them, and I’ll make sure you feel that karma.
I’m gonna sell your sons and daughters to the kids of Judah, and they’ll pass them off to the Sabeans, a crew far away: the Lord said it, no cap.
Spread the word among the nations; get ready for war, wake up the strong dudes, let all the warriors come through.
Turn your plows into swords and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, “I’m strong,” periodt.
Gather up, all you nations, and come around: let the mighty ones roll down, O Lord.
Let the nations get hyped and come to the valley of Jehoshaphat: I’m gonna sit there to judge all the nations around.
Put in the sickle, the harvest is ripe: come down; the press is packed, the fats are overflowing; their wickedness is wild.
Tons of people, tons of people in the valley of decision: the day of the Lord is near in that valley.
The sun and the moon gonna be dark, and the stars will dip out on shining.
The Lord’s gonna roar from Zion and drop His voice from Jerusalem; the heavens and earth will shake: but the Lord’s the hope for His crew and the strength of the kids of Israel.
Then you’ll know I’m the Lord your God chilling in Zion, my holy mountain: Jerusalem will be lit, and no strangers gonna pass through anymore.
On that day, the mountains gonna drop new wine, the hills gonna flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah gonna flow with water; a fountain gonna burst from the Lord’s house, watering the valley of Shittim.
Egypt gonna be a wasteland, and Edom gonna be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the kids of Judah, 'cause they spilled innocent blood in their land.
But Judah gonna be here forever, and Jerusalem from gen to gen.
I’m gonna cleanse their blood that I haven’t cleaned up: for the Lord hangs in Zion.
