Gen Z: Joel 2
Blast the horn in Zion, and sound the alarm on my holy mountain: everyone better shake, ‘cause the day of the Lord is coming in hot; no cap.
It’s a day full of dark vibes and gloom, clouds thick like a fog, and a massive crew that’s never been seen before, fr.
Fire’s munching everything in front of them; behind, it’s all flames: the land's lit like Eden, but behind them? Just a barren wasteland, nothing gets away, periodt.
They look like horses ready to go; and like riders, they’re about to pop off.
They leap like chariots on mountain tops, making noise like a fire that’s devouring everything; a strong squad ready for battle, no cap.
The people are feeling the pain; all faces turning dark, sus vibes.
They’re running like beasts; climbing walls like warriors; each one on their grind, and they won’t mess up their flow.
No one’s gonna bump into each other; they’re walking their own path: when they hit the sword, they won’t even flinch.
They’re running around the city; scaling walls, climbing houses; slipping in through windows like total thieves.
The earth’s gonna shake for them; the heavens are gonna vibe check: the sun and moon are going dark, and the stars will stop shining, fr.
The Lord’s voice is like, “Listen up, my squad is massive and I’m the real deal when I say stuff. The day of the Lord is wild, who can even handle that vibe?”
So now, the Lord’s like, “Turn to me with all your heart, fast, cry it out, and mourn a bit, fr.”
Tear your heart, not your clothes, and hit up the Lord your God, ‘cause He’s mad chill, super nice, takes his time getting angry, and is all about kindness, no cap.
Who knows if He’ll come back and change His mind, leaving behind some blessings, like food and drinks for the Lord your God?
Blast that trumpet in Zion, set the vibe for a fast, and call everyone together for a serious hangout.
Gather the crew, hype up the congregation, get the elders in, bring the kids, and even the babies; let the bridegroom step outta his room and the bride outta her spot.
Let the priests, the Lord's hype squad, cry out between the porch and the altar, saying, “Chill, Lord, don’t let your people get roasted; the outsiders shouldn’t be flexing on them. Why should they ask, ‘Where’s their God?’”
Then the Lord’s gonna be protective over His land and feel for His people.
For real, the Lord will reply to His people, “I got you with corn, wine, and oil, you’ll be straight up satisfied, and I won’t let you be dissed by the outsiders anymore.”
But I’ll push the northern army far away from you, sending them to a barren wasteland, facing the east sea, with their back to the other sea, and their stench will rise up, ‘cause they’ve done some major things.
No cap, land, chill out and vibe; the Lord's about to do some epic stuff.
Don’t be sus, animals of the field; the wild is popping off with growth, fruit’s coming in hot, like fig trees and vines flexing their strength.
Get hyped, kids of Zion, and rejoice in your God; He’s already blessed you with rain, and more is on the way, fr.
The fields are gonna be stacked with wheat, and the vibes will overflow with wine and oil, it’s lit.
I’m bringing back all the good times the locusts snatched, my squad that I sent is about to restore everything.
You’ll be feasting and feeling blessed, praising the Lord for the wild things He’s done; my crew won’t ever be embarrassed.
You’ll know I’m right here with Israel, the Lord your God, and nobody else; my people will always be on top.
Later on, I’m gonna drop my spirit on everyone; your sons and daughters will prophesy, old heads will dream, and young guns will see visions.
And I’ll also pour out my spirit on the squad and the ladies during those days.
I’ll show off some crazy wonders in the sky and on Earth, blood, fire, and smoke vibes, it’s gonna be wild.
The sun's gonna go dark, and the moon's gonna look like blood, right before that epic day of the Lord hits.
And for real, anyone who calls on the Lord's name is gonna be saved: Zion and Jerusalem are the spots for that, just like the Lord said, and He’s got a crew He’s calling.
