Job 35

Gen Z: Job 35

1Elihu's like, "Yo, listen up!"

2You really think it's cool to say your rizz is better than God's?

3You’re like, "What’s in it for me?" and, "What do I get if I clean up my act?"

4I got answers for you and your crew, no cap.

5Just look up at the sky, fam; those clouds are way up there.

6If you mess up, what’s that even gonna do to Him? If you stack sins, how does that affect Him?

7If you’re all righteous, what are you even giving Him? What’s He getting from you?

8Your bad vibes might hurt a fellow human, but your good vibes could help them too.

9When people get oppressed, they scream out; they’re crying 'cause the powerful are flexing.

10But no one’s asking, "Where's God, my creator, who drops bangers in the dark?"

11He teaches us more than the animals, and gives us more wisdom than the birds.

12They’re out here crying, but no one’s listening 'cause of the pride of the wicked.

13For real, God ain't hearing the fake stuff, and the Almighty ain’t about that.

14Even if you say you can't see Him, judgment’s still on the table; so just trust in Him, periodt.

15But now, since it’s not like that, He’s coming through with the heat; but He knows it’s not a huge deal.

16So Job’s talking outta pocket; he’s just throwing words around with no clue.

KJV: Job 35

1Elihu spake moreover, and said,

2Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s?

3For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

4I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

5Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

6If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

7If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

8Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

9By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

10But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

11Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

12There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

13Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

14Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

15But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

16Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
