Gen Z: Isaiah 63
Who’s rollin’ up from Edom, drippin’ in fresh fits from Bozrah? This vibe is straight fire, flexin’ strength like a boss. I’m here, speakin’ truth, ready to save the day.
Why you lookin’ all red in your fit, like you just stomped on a wine press?
I hit the winepress solo; no squad with me. I’m about to unleash my rage and crush ‘em; their blood’s gonna stain my drip, no cap.
The day for payback is lit in my heart, and my peeps are finally free.
I looked around, and no one was down to help; so I popped off myself and brought the save, my fury had my back.
I’m gonna stomp down the people in my anger, get ‘em all buzzed on my rage, and crash their vibe to the ground.
I’ll shout out the Lord’s kindness and all the good vibes he’s given us, the major blessings for Israel, all thanks to his mercy and love.
He said, “For sure, they’re my crew, kids who keep it real; so I got their back as their Savior.”
In all their struggles, he felt it too, and his presence saved them; with love and compassion, he redeemed them, carrying them through the ages.
But they were sus and dissed his holy Spirit; so he turned into their enemy and took them on.
Then he reminisced about the good old days, like, “Where’s the one who brought them outta the sea with the shepherd vibes? Where’s the one who put his holy Spirit in him?”
He led them with Moses, flexing his glorious arm, splitting the waters to make a name for himself that lasts forever.
He guided them through the deep like a horse in the wild, so they wouldn’t trip.
As a beast chills in the valley, the Spirit of the Lord made him rest: you led your people to make your name shine.
Look down from heaven and check out your holy spot: where’s your hype and strength, your compassion and mercy toward me? Are they on mute?
No cap, you’re our Father, even if Abraham doesn’t know us, and Israel’s acting clueless: you, Lord, are our Father, our redeemer; your name’s forever.
Yo, Lord, why’d you let us stray from your ways and harden our hearts from your fear? Come back for your squad’s sake, the tribes you claim.
Your holy people had the spot for a hot minute: our haters have stomped on your sanctuary.
We’re yours: you never ruled over them; they weren’t even called by your name.
