Gen Z: Isaiah 61
The Spirit of the Lord is on me; He’s got me out here spreading good vibes to the humble, healing the brokenhearted, setting the captives free, and unlocking the prison doors for those stuck, no cap.
Time to announce the good year from the Lord and the day of payback from our God; we’re here to comfort all the sad vibes.
Gonna bless those who mourn in Zion with beauty instead of ashes, joy instead of sadness, and a dope outfit of praise to replace that heavy spirit; they’ll be called the goated trees of righteousness, planted by the Lord to flex His glory.
They’re gonna rebuild the old wrecks, lift up the past ruins, and fix up the cities that have been a mess for generations, fr.
Outsiders gonna step in and take care of your flocks, and the kids from other places will be your farmers and grape growers, lit.
You’ll be called the Priests of the Lord; people will shout you out as the Ministers of our God; you’ll feast on the riches of the nations and flex on their glory.
You’ll get double for your shame, and instead of feeling confused, they’ll be hyped about their portion; in your land, you’ll own double, and everlasting joy will be yours, periodt.
I, the Lord, vibe with justice; I’m not about that robbing for burnt offerings life; I’ll guide their work in truth and make an everlasting deal with them.
Their kids will be known among the nations, and their offspring will be recognized by the people; everyone who sees them will know they’re the blessed ones by the Lord.
I’m gonna be so hyped in the Lord, my soul is gonna be joyful in my God; He’s decked me out in salvation gear and covered me in righteousness, just like a groom getting all fancy and a bride showing off her jewels.
Just like the earth brings out its buds, and gardens make the seeds pop off; the Lord God will make righteousness and praise spring up before all the nations, no cap.
