Gen Z: Ezekiel 13
And the word of the Lord slid into my DMs, saying,
Yo, son of man, call out the prophets of Israel who are just vibing and say to them, "Listen up, hear the word of the Lord;”
The Lord God is like, "Bruh, woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own vibes and see nothing!"
O Israel, your prophets are like sneaky foxes in the desert, fr.
You haven’t stepped up to fill the gaps or protect Israel during the battle day of the Lord, periodt.
They’re seeing fake stuff and lying predictions, saying, "The Lord said," but the Lord didn’t send them; they got others hoping for a word that’s just not it.
Didn’t you see a sus vision and speak a lying prediction, saying, "The Lord said it," when I didn’t even say that?
So the Lord God is like, "Because you’ve spoken fake stuff and seen lies, I’m coming for you, no cap."
My hand’s gonna be on the prophets who see fake vibes and spread lies: they won’t be in my crew, won’t be written down, and won’t enter the land of Israel; then you’ll know I’m the Lord God.
Because they’ve led my people astray, saying, "Peace," when there’s no peace; one built a wall, and others just slapped on some weak mortar.
Tell those slapping on that weak mortar, "It’s gonna fall: there’s a storm coming, and big hailstones are about to drop!"
When the wall falls, won’t you be asking, "Where’s the weak stuff you used to fix it?"
So the Lord God is like, "I’m gonna tear it down with a storm in my anger; there’s gonna be a flood of rain and big hailstones to wreck it."
I’ll break down that wall you slapped together with weak mortar and expose the foundation; it’s gonna fall, and you’ll be consumed in the chaos: then you’ll know I’m the Lord.
I’ll unleash my wrath on the wall and those who slapped it together with weak mortar, saying, "The wall’s done for, and so are those who built it."
For real, the prophets of Israel who are all about Jerusalem, seeing visions of peace when there’s no peace, says the Lord God.
Likewise, son of man, turn your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy from their own feels; and call them out,
And say, "The Lord God says: Woe to the ladies sewing pillows for every armhole and making kerchiefs for every height to hunt souls! Are you trying to catch my people’s souls and keep them alive?"
Are you really polluting me among my people for some barley and bread, killing the souls that shouldn’t die and saving the souls that shouldn’t live, by lying to my people who hear your lies?
So the Lord God says: "I’m coming for your pillows, the ones you use to trap souls; I’ll tear them from your hands, and let those souls go free."
I’ll also tear your kerchiefs and rescue my people from your grip; they won’t be hunted anymore, and you’ll know I’m the Lord.
You’ve made the hearts of the righteous sad with your lies, and I didn’t make them sad; you’ve strengthened the wicked so they won’t turn back from their ways by promising them life, no cap.
So you won’t see any more fake vibes or divine predictions, 'cause I’m gonna rescue my people from your hands; then you’ll know I’m the Lord.
