Gen Z: Ezekiel 12
The word of the Lord slid into my DMs, saying,
Yo, son of man, you’re living in a totally sus crew, they got eyes but can’t see, ears but can’t hear. They’re just straight up rebellious.
So, son of man, get your stuff ready to bounce, and do it in front of them; you’re moving from one spot to another, maybe they’ll wake up, even though they’re wildin’.
Bring your stuff out during the day for them to see, like you’re moving out; then at night, pop out like you’re heading into the wild.
Dig through the wall where they can see you, and take your things out.
Carry it on your shoulders where they can watch, and do it at twilight: cover your face so you don’t see the ground, 'cause I made you a sign for the house of Israel.
And I did what I was told: I brought my stuff out during the day, like I was going into captivity, and at night, I dug through the wall with my hands; I took it out at twilight, carrying it on my shoulder right in front of them.
In the morning, the word of the Lord hit me again, saying,
Yo, son of man, didn’t the house of Israel, that rebellious squad, ask you, “What are you doing?”
Tell them this: The Lord God says, this burden is about the prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel chillin' with them.
Say, I’m your sign: just like I did, that’s how it’s gonna go down for them too; they’re gonna bounce and get taken away, no cap.
And the prince among them is gonna carry his stuff on his shoulder at dusk, pop off and dig through the wall to get out; he’s gonna cover his face so he doesn’t peep the ground, fr.
I’m gonna spread my net on him, and he’s gonna get caught in my trap; I’ll send him to Babylon, to the land of the Chaldeans; but he won’t even see it before he kicks the bucket there.
I’ll scatter everyone around him to help him, and all his crew; and I’ll pull out the sword after them, vibes.
They’ll know I’m the Lord when I scatter them among the nations and spread them out in different places, periodt.
But I’ll leave a few of them from the sword, famine, and sickness; so they can talk about all their wild stuff among the nations they end up in; and they’ll know I’m the Lord.
Then the word of the Lord hit me, saying,
Yo, son of man, eat your bread with some nervous energy, and drink your water with a side of caution, fr.
And tell the people of the land, this is what the Lord God of Jerusalem and Israel says; they’ll eat their bread carefully and drink their water in shock, ‘cause the land’s gonna be empty from all that’s in it, thanks to the violence from everyone living there.
And the cities that are still standing will be wrecked, and the land will be empty; and you’ll know I’m the Lord.
So the vibe check from the Lord hit me, saying,
Yo, son of man, what’s up with that saying in Israel? Like, “The days are long, and every vision is a flop?”
Tell ‘em this: The Lord God’s got you! This saying is donezo, and they won’t use it anymore in Israel; instead, say, “The days are here, and every vision is about to pop off.”
No more fake visions or smooth talkin’ in Israel’s crib.
I’m the Lord, and I’m about to drop some truth; what I say is gonna happen, no cap: in your time, you rebellious crew, I’m gonna speak and make it lit, says the Lord God.
Again, the Lord hit me up, saying,
Yo, son of man, check it, the people in Israel are saying, “The vision he sees is ages away, and he’s prophesying about stuff that’s super far off.”
So tell ‘em this: The Lord God says, none of my words are gonna be delayed anymore; what I’ve said is gonna be done, says the Lord God.
