Gen Z: Exodus 7
And the Lord said to Moses, "Yo, I made you a god to Pharaoh, and Aaron your bro is gonna be your hype man."
You gotta say everything I tell you, and Aaron will tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites bounce.
I'm gonna harden Pharaoh’s heart and flex my signs and wonders in Egypt, no cap.
But Pharaoh ain't gonna listen, so I’ll show out on Egypt and bring my squad, the Israelites, out with some serious moves.
The Egyptians will know I’m the Lord when I show up big time and pull the Israelites out from them.
Moses and Aaron did what the Lord told them, and they were on it.
Moses was 80 years old, and Aaron was 83 when they pulled up on Pharaoh.
The Lord talked to Moses and Aaron, saying,
When Pharaoh asks you to show a miracle, tell Aaron to throw down his rod, and it’ll turn into a snake.
Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did what the Lord said; Aaron threw down his rod, and it became a snake.
Pharaoh called in the wise guys and magicians, and they also did their thing with tricks.
They threw down their rods, and they turned into snakes too, but Aaron's snake ate their snakes, fr.
He hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so he didn’t listen to them, just like the Lord said.
The Lord told Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hard, and he’s not letting the people go."
Go to Pharaoh in the morning; he’s gonna be by the water. Stand by the river and take the rod that turned into a snake.
Tell him, "The Lord God of the Hebrews sent me to say, ‘Let my people go to serve me in the wilderness,’ but you ain't listening."
The Lord says, "You’ll know I’m the Lord: I’ll smack the waters with my rod, and they’ll turn to blood."
The fish in the river will die, and it’ll stink; the Egyptians will hate drinking that water.
The Lord told Moses, "Say to Aaron, take your rod and stretch it over the waters of Egypt, and make them all blood, no cap."
Moses and Aaron did what the Lord commanded; he hit the waters, and they turned to blood right in front of Pharaoh and his crew.
The fish in the river died; it stank, and the Egyptians couldn't drink it; blood was everywhere in Egypt.
The magicians of Egypt did the same with their tricks, but Pharaoh’s heart was hard, and he didn’t listen, just like the Lord said.
Pharaoh turned and went home, not even tripping on it.
All the Egyptians were digging around the river for water to drink because they couldn't drink from it.
Seven days passed after the Lord turned the river into blood.
