Gen Z: Exodus 3
Moses was herding his father-in-law Jethro's sheep, chillin' in the desert, and he rolled up to God's mountain, Horeb.
Then, an angel of the Lord popped up in a fire from a bush; it was lit, 'cause the bush was on fire but didn’t even burn up.
Moses was like, "Yo, I gotta check this out, why's that bush not burnt?"
When the Lord saw him peepin', He called out from the bush, "Moses, Moses!" And Moses was like, "I’m here, what’s good?"
God said, "Don’t come any closer; take off your kicks, 'cause this spot is holy vibes."
God was like, "I’m the God of your pops, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." Moses hid his face, freaked out to see God.
The Lord said, "I’ve seen my peeps in Egypt, heard their struggles with their bosses; I know they’re hurting, no cap."
"I’m here to rescue them from the Egyptians and take them to a dope land, flowing with milk and honey, for real."
"So, check it out, the Israelite kids’ cries reached me, and I’ve seen how the Egyptians are treating them, that’s sus."
"Now, I’m sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, outta Egypt."
Moses was like, "Who am I to roll up to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites outta Egypt?"
God said, "For sure I’ll be with you; when you bring them out, you’ll worship me on this mountain, periodt."
Moses asked God, "When I tell the Israelites their God sent me, they’ll wanna know His name. What do I say?"
God replied, "I AM THAT I AM; tell them I AM sent you."
"Also tell them, the Lord God of your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, sent me; that’s my name forever, no cap."
"Gather the elders of Israel and tell them, the Lord God of your fathers showed up, saying, I’ve seen what’s happening to you in Egypt."
"I’m gonna bring you outta Egypt’s struggles to the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, flowing with milk and honey."
"They’ll listen to you, and you and the elders will go to the king of Egypt, saying, the Lord God of the Hebrews met with us; let us go three days into the wild to sacrifice to our God."
"I know Pharaoh won’t let you go, not even if I flex my power."
"I’ll stretch out my hand and smack Egypt with all my wonders, then he’ll let you go."
"I’ll give this crew favor with the Egyptians, and when you leave, you won’t go empty-handed."
"Every woman will borrow bling and clothes from her neighbor, and you’ll deck out your kids; you’ll totally spoil the Egyptians."
