Gen Z: Colossians 2
Yo, I just want you to know how much I’m vibing for you and the crew at Laodicea, and everyone who hasn’t seen my face IRL;
So their hearts can chill, all tied up in love, and flexing the full assurance of understanding, recognizing the mystery of God, the Father, and Christ;
In Him are all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge, fr.
Just sayin', don’t let anyone trick you with smooth talk.
Even though I’m not with you in the flesh, I’m totally there in spirit, hyped and checking out your vibes and how strong your faith in Christ is.
Since you’ve received Christ Jesus the Lord, just keep walking in Him, no cap:
Get rooted and built up in Him, steady in the faith, like you’ve been taught, overflowing with gratitude.
Watch out, don’t let anyone mess with your vibe through philosophy and fake deceit, following the traditions of people, not Christ.
For in Him, all the fullness of the Godhead is chillin' in bodily form.
And you’re complete in Him, who’s the boss of all authority and power:
In Him, you’ve been circumcised without hands, ditching the sins of the flesh through Christ’s circumcision:
Buried with Him in baptism, and you’ve also risen with Him through faith in God’s power, who raised Him from the dead.
And you, once dead in your sins and uncircumcised in the flesh, He brought to life with Him, forgiving all your mess-ups;
Canceling the charges against us that were sus, taking them outta the way, nailing them to His cross;
And after spoiling the authorities and powers, He flexed on them openly, winning big time.
So don’t let anyone judge you on food, drink, holy days, new moons, or Sabbath vibes:
These are just shadows of what’s coming; but the real deal is Christ.
Don’t let anyone rob you of your reward with fake humility and angel worship, getting all puffy with their fleshly mind,
And not holding onto the Head, from which the whole body gets its nourishment and grows together, boosted by God.
So if you’ve died with Christ from the basic stuff of the world, why are you acting like you’re still living in it, following rules,
(Don’t touch this; don’t taste that; don’t handle this;
Which all fade away with use;) following the commands and teachings of men?
These things may look wise with self-worship, humility, and neglecting the body; but they don’t really honor the flesh.
