Gen Z: 2 Kings 2
So, like, the Lord was about to scoop Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, and Elijah was vibin' with Elisha from Gilgal.
Elijah told Elisha, "Chill here, fam; the Lord sent me to Beth-el." Elisha was like, "No cap, I’m not leaving you." So they rolled out to Beth-el.
The prophet squad at Beth-el came up to Elisha and were like, "You know the Lord's about to take your master, right?" Elisha was like, "Yeah, I know, keep it low-key."
Elijah said, "Yo, Elisha, stay here; the Lord sent me to Jericho." Elisha replied, "As long as the Lord's alive, I'm not dipping." So they headed to Jericho.
The prophet crew at Jericho hit up Elisha, saying, "Aren't you aware the Lord's taking your master today?" He was like, "Yeah, chill out."
Elijah told him, "Stay here, I gotta go to Jordan." Elisha was like, "For real, I’m sticking with you." So they both kept moving.
Fifty of the prophet squad stood back, watching from a distance while Elijah and Elisha were by Jordan.
Elijah grabbed his mantle, wrapped it up, and hit the waters, and they split like, "This is bussin'." They crossed on dry ground.
After they crossed, Elijah asked Elisha, "What do you want before I bounce?" Elisha said, "I want double the rizz of your spirit on me."
Elijah was like, "That’s a tough ask; but if you see me when I’m taken, it’s yours; if not, no dice."
As they were chatting, suddenly a chariot of fire and fire horses rolled up and separated them; then Elijah got swept up in a whirlwind to heaven.
Elisha saw it and shouted, "My dude, the chariot of Israel!" Then he didn’t see him anymore and ripped his clothes in two.
He picked up Elijah's mantle that fell and went back, standing by the Jordan.
He took the mantle, hit the waters, and asked, "Where’s the Lord God of Elijah?" When he hit the waters, they split again, and Elisha crossed over.
When the prophet squad at Jericho saw him, they said, "Elisha's got Elijah's spirit now." They came to him and bowed down.
They were like, "Yo, we got fifty strong dudes; let them search for your master, just in case the Spirit took him somewhere." But he was like, "Nah, don’t send them."
They kept pushing him until he caved and said, "Fine, send them." They sent fifty men who looked for three days but couldn’t find him.
When they came back to him (he was still chilling at Jericho), he was like, "Didn’t I tell you not to go?"
The city peeps said to Elisha, "This city’s got good vibes, but the water’s trash and the land’s barren."
He said, "Get me a new jar and throw some salt in it." They brought it to him.
He went to the water source, tossed in the salt, and said, "The Lord says I’ve healed these waters; no more death or barren land."
So the waters were healed, just like Elisha said, and it’s still good today.
He went up to Beth-el, and while heading up, some kids came out and mocked him, saying, "Go up, bald head!"
He turned around, looked at them, and cursed them in the Lord’s name. Then two bears came out and mauled forty-two of those kids.
He left there and went to mount Carmel, then made his way back to Samaria.
