Gen Z: 2 Chronicles 15
The Spirit of God totally vibed with Azariah, son of Oded.
He rolled out to meet Asa and was like, "Yo Asa, and all my peeps in Judah and Benjamin, listen up! The Lord’s got your back as long as you’re down with Him; seek Him, and He’ll show up; but if you ghost Him, He’ll ghost you too."
For a minute, Israel was straight up without the real God, no priest to teach, and zero law.
But when they were struggling and turned to the Lord God of Israel, they found Him, no cap.
Back then, it was all chaos; nobody had peace going out or coming in, just mad stress for everyone in the land.
Nation was beefing with nation, city with city; God was throwing them all the drama.
So be strong, fam, don’t let your hands go weak; your grind is gonna pay off, fr.
When Asa heard this word and the prophecy from Oded, he got hyped and ditched the nasty idols from Judah and Benjamin, plus those cities he snagged from Ephraim, and he revived the altar of the Lord right in front of the porch.
He gathered all of Judah and Benjamin, along with the outsiders from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon; they flocked to him from Israel when they peeped that the Lord was with him.
So they all met up in Jerusalem during the third month, in the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign.
They offered to the Lord at that time, bringing in the loot: seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
They made a promise to seek the Lord God of their ancestors with all their heart and soul, periodt.
Anyone who wasn’t down to seek the Lord God of Israel was to be put to death, no matter if they were small or big, man or woman.
They swore to the Lord loud and proud, with shouting, trumpets, and cornets, no cap.
All of Judah was lit about the oath; they swore with all their heart and sought Him with all their desire, and they found Him; the Lord gave them chill vibes all around.
Asa even kicked his mom, Maachah, outta being queen 'cause she made an idol in a grove; Asa smashed that idol, and burned it by the brook Kidron.
But the high places in Israel weren’t taken down; still, Asa’s heart was solid all his days.
He brought into the house of God all the stuff his dad dedicated and what he dedicated himself, silver, gold, and cool vessels.
And there was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.
