1 Corinthians 12

Gen Z: 1 Corinthians 12

1Yo, fam, let’s chat about those spiritual gifts, don’t be clueless, alright?

2Y’all know you were out here vibing with those whack idols, just getting led astray.

3So here’s the tea: no one who’s lit by the Spirit of God calls Jesus cursed; only the Holy Ghost lets you say Jesus is the Lord, no cap.

4There’s mad diversity in gifts, but it’s all from the same Spirit, fr.

5Different vibes in how we serve, but it’s the same Lord running the show.

6And yo, there’s a bunch of ways God works, but it’s the same God doing it all, periodt.

7The Spirit shows up in everyone to help out, that’s just facts.

8One gets the word of wisdom from the Spirit; another gets knowledge, all from the same Spirit, you feel me?

9Another gets faith from the same Spirit; someone else gets the gifts of healing, all lit.

10One’s got the power to do miracles; another’s got prophecy; another’s vibing with spirit discernment; then there’s tongues and interpretations too, it’s a whole squad.

11But all these vibes come from the same Spirit, handing out gifts to each person as they feel it.

12The body’s like, one squad with mad members, and all those members make up one body: same with Christ, no cap.

13We all got baptized by one Spirit into one body, whether you're Jew or Gentile, slave or free; we all sip from that one Spirit, fr.

14The body ain't just one part, it’s a whole crew, periodt.

15If the foot's like, "I'm not a hand, so I’m not part of the body," does that mean it’s not part of the body? Sus.

16And if the ear says, "I'm not an eye, so I’m not part of the body," does that mean it’s not part of the body? Nah.

17If the whole body was just an eye, how would it hear? If it was all hearing, how would it smell?

18But God’s got the members set up just how He wants, and that’s the vibe.

19If they were all just one part, where’s the body at?

20But now, there’s a whole squad of members, yet it’s still one body, lit.

21The eye can't be like, "I don't need you, hand," and the head ain't gonna say to the feet, "You’re useless," no cap.

22Nah, for real, the parts of the body that seem weak are actually essential, fr.

23And those parts we think are less lit, we give them mad respect; even the awkward bits got more rizz.

24The parts that look good don’t need the extra love, but God made the whole squad work together, giving more props to the parts that need it.

25So there’s no drama in the body; everyone should care for each other, periodt.

26If one part's hurting, the whole crew feels it; if one part's celebrated, we all vibe together.

27Y’all are the body of Christ, and everyone’s got their own role, bet.

28God set up the church with some as apostles, some as prophets, some as teachers, then miracles, healing vibes, helps, leadership, and different languages.

29Are all of y’all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Can everyone pull off miracles?

30Do all have healing powers? Does everyone speak in tongues? Can everyone interpret?

31But like, chase after the best vibes, fr; I’m about to spill the tea on an even better way.

KJV: 1 Corinthians 12

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14For the body is not one member, but many.

15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
