Gen Z: Titus 1
Paul, God’s hype man, and an apostle of Jesus, vibing with the faith of the chosen ones and keeping it real with the truth that’s all about godliness;
Holding onto the hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised way before the universe was a thing;
But in the right time, He flexed His word through preaching, which I’m all about, just like God our Savior told me to;
To Titus, my dude who’s got that common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and our homie Jesus Christ, our Savior.
That’s why I left you in Crete, to get everything on point and set up some elders in every city, like I told you to do;
If anyone’s blameless, a one-woman man, with kids who are chill and not wilding out;
A bishop gotta be blameless, like God’s steward; no selfish vibes, not quick to anger, no wine chugging, and definitely not about that money grind;
But he should be all about hospitality, good peeps, sober, just, holy, and keeping it balanced;
Holding onto the faithful word like he was taught, so he can hype up the truth and convince the haters;
There are mad unruly and empty talkers and deceivers, especially from the circumcision crew;
Gotta shut their mouths, they’re flipping whole households upside down, teaching stuff they shouldn’t, just for that cash flow;
One of them, a prophet from their squad, said, "The Cretans are always lying, wild beasts, and lazy."
This tea is real. So, call them out hard, so they can get right with the faith;
Don’t listen to Jewish myths and man-made rules that stray from the truth.
For the pure, everything’s pure; but for those who are defiled and don’t believe, nothing’s pure; even their minds and conscience are sus.
They act like they know God; but their actions say otherwise, being savage, disobedient, and totally not about good works.
