Gen Z: Psalms 42
My soul’s out here thirsting for you, God, like a deer chasing after water. Vibes.
I'm seriously craving God, the real one: when can I roll up and see Him?
My tears are my snack day and night, while everyone keeps asking, "Where’s your God at?"
When I think about all this, I spill my soul out; I used to vibe with the crowd, going to God’s house, all joy and praise, lit times.
Why you feeling low, soul? Why you stressing? Just hope in God: I’m gonna praise Him for his good vibes.
Yo, my soul’s feeling heavy, so I’m gonna remember you, God, from the Jordan and Hermonites, up on Mizar hill.
Deep calls to deep with the sound of your waves: all your vibes and billows are crashing over me.
But the Lord’s got my back with love in the daytime, and at night, His song’s with me, plus my prayers to the God of my life.
I’m gonna hit up God, my rock, and ask, "Why you ghosting me? Why am I sad ‘cause of my enemies?"
It feels like my enemies are stabbing me in the bones; they keep asking me daily, "Where’s your God?"
Why you feeling low, soul? Why you stressing inside? Just hope in God: I’m gonna praise Him, He’s my glow-up and my God.
