Gen Z: Psalms 32
Blessed is the homie whose mess-ups are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the dude who the Lord don’t count the bad vibes against, and in whose spirit there’s no sus.
When I stayed quiet, my bones were aging like fine wine from my constant struggles all day long.
For day and night, your hand was mad heavy on me: my vibe was dry like summer’s drought. Selah.
I came clean about my sins to you, and I didn’t hide my wrongs. I said, “I’ll spill the tea on my mess-ups to the Lord,” and you forgave my flaws. Selah.
For this, everyone who’s got good vibes will pray to you when you’re around: for sure, in the floods of deep waters, they won’t get close to him.
You’re my safe spot; you’ll keep me from the chaos; you’ll surround me with dope songs of freedom. Selah.
I’ll teach you and show you the way to go: I’ll guide you with my eyes, no cap.
Don’t be like the horse or the mule, which don’t get it: they gotta be controlled or they’ll just be wildin’.
Many sorrows come to the wicked, but the one who trusts in the Lord will be surrounded by mercy, periodt.
Be hyped in the Lord, and celebrate, you righteous peeps: and shout for joy, all you who are real in heart.
