Gen Z: Psalms 102
Yo, Lord, peep my prayer and hear my cry, fr.
Don’t ghost me when I’m in a rough spot; lean in and hit me back quick when I call, no cap.
My days are fading like smoke, and my bones feel roasted, straight up.
My heart’s all crushed and dried out like grass; I legit forget to eat, periodt.
My bones stick to my skin 'cause of all my moaning, it’s savage.
I’m like a pelican in the wild, or an owl in the desert, just vibing alone.
I’m watching solo like a sparrow on the rooftop, no one’s around.
My haters are coming for me all day, and those who are mad are totally against me, no cap.
I’ve been munching on ashes like they’re bread and mixing my drink with tears, it’s rough.
'Cause you’re mad and throwing shade at me; you lifted me up just to drop me down, that’s sus.
My days are like a shadow fading away; I'm withered like grass, no cap.
But you, Lord, are forever lit; your memory vibes through all generations.
You're gonna rise up and show mercy to Zion; it's her time to shine, fr.
Your crew loves her stones and is all about that dust, periodt.
The nations will fear the Lord's name, and all the kings will see your glory, no cap.
When the Lord builds Zion, he’s gonna flex in his glory.
He hears the prayers of the broke ones and won’t ghost them.
This is gonna be written for the next gen: the people created will praise the Lord, bet.
He looked down from his high spot; from heaven, the Lord peeped the earth.
To hear the struggles of the prisoners; to set free those marked for death.
Gotta shout out the Lord in Zion and give Him mad praise in Jerusalem; vibes.
When the squad rolls up together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.
He drained my energy on the way; my days got cut short, no cap.
I said, "Yo, God, don’t take me out in the middle of my grind: your years go on forever."
From way back, you laid down the foundation of the earth: the heavens are all your handiwork, fr.
They gonna fade away, but you stay solid: yeah, all of them gonna get old like clothes; you'll switch 'em out, and they'll be changed.
But you stay the same, and your years are endless, periodt.
The kids of your servants will keep it going, and their offspring will be set up before you.
