Gen Z: Micah 7
Man, I'm feeling down, like when summer fruits are all gone and there's no good stuff left. My soul is craving that first fruit, no cap.
The good peeps are MIA; no one’s keeping it real. They’re all out here hunting each other like it’s a game.
They’re out here doing shady stuff, both hands in it, the prince and judge just want that cash, and the big shots are plotting. It’s a whole mess.
The best of them is like a thorn; even the chill ones are sus. The day’s coming when things get wild, fr.
Don’t trust your homies too much; keep your mouth shut around those close to you.
Family drama is real; sons disrespect dads, daughters against moms. Your enemies might just be in your own crib.
So I’m looking to the Lord; I’m waiting for my savior. My God’s got my back, periodt.
Don’t celebrate my falls, enemy; I’ll bounce back. When I’m in the dark, the Lord’s my light, for real.
I’ll own my mistakes before the Lord until He steps in for me. He’ll bring me to the light, and I’ll see His goodness.
My enemy will see what’s up, and shame's gonna hit her for asking where my God is. She’s about to be stomped like dirt.
When it’s time to build those walls, everything’s gonna change, for sure.
He’ll come through from Assyria and other strong places, all the way to the river, and from sea to sea, mountain to mountain.
But the land’s gonna be empty because of the people living there and their bad vibes.
Take care of your crew with your rod, those who chill in the woods; let them vibe in Bashan and Gilead like the good old days.
I’m gonna show him some epic things, just like when you left Egypt.
The nations will see and be shook by all their power; they’ll just be silent, ears closed.
They’ll eat dirt like snakes, crawling out like worms; they’ll fear the Lord, no cap.
Who’s a God like You, forgiving and chill, not holding grudges forever? You’re all about that mercy.
He’s coming back, showing compassion; He’ll handle our mess and toss our sins into the sea.
You’ll keep it real with Jacob and show mercy to Abraham, just like you promised our ancestors way back.
