Gen Z: Matthew 5
He saw the crowd and bounced up a mountain; his crew rolled up on him.
Then he opened his mouth and dropped some knowledge, saying,
Blessed are the broke in spirit; theirs is the whole heaven vibe.
Blessed are the ones who are sad; they’re gonna get that comfort, no cap.
Blessed are the chill ones; they’re about to inherit the whole earth, fr.
Blessed are those who are starving for what’s right; they’re gonna be fed, periodt.
Blessed are the ones who show mercy; they’re gonna get mercy back, lit.
Blessed are the pure-hearted; they’re gonna see God, no sus vibes.
Blessed are the peacemakers; they’re gonna be called God’s kids, goated.
Blessed are those getting persecuted for doing what’s right; theirs is the whole heaven vibe.
Blessed are you when people come for you, roast you, and spread all kinds of sus rumors about you for my sake.
Pop off with joy and be super hyped: your reward in heaven is lit, just like how they came for the OG prophets before you.
You’re the salt of the earth, but if you lose your flavor, you’re just trash, like literally no cap.
You’re the light of the world. A city on a hill is too bright to hide, periodt.
No one lights a candle and hides it under a bushel; they put it on a stand so it lights up the whole crib.
Let your light shine so people see your dope actions and give props to your Father in heaven.
Don’t think I’m here to cancel the law or the prophets; I’m just here to fulfill the vibes.
For real, I’m telling you, until heaven and earth are no more, not even a dot from the law will fade away until everything’s done.
Anyone who breaks even the smallest command and teaches others to do the same will be the least in heaven, but those who do and teach them will be called great, fr.
I’m saying, unless your rizz outshines that of the scribes and Pharisees, you’re not getting into heaven, no cap.
You heard it said, “Don’t kill,” and if you do, you’re gonna catch some serious vibes from judgment.
But I’m telling you, if you’re mad at your bro for no reason, you’re in the danger zone; calling him Raca? That’s sus, and saying “You fool” puts you on the hot seat.
So if you’re about to drop your gift at the altar and remember your bro’s got beef with you,
Just leave your gift, go make things right with your bro first, then come back and flex that gift.
Get on the same page with your enemy ASAP while you’re still vibing together; otherwise, he might send you to the judge, and then you’ll be stuck in the clink.
For real, you won’t bounce from there until you’ve paid every last cent.
You heard it said, “Don’t cheat,”
But I’m saying, if you check out a girl with lust, you’ve already cheated in your heart, no cap.
And if your right eye is trippin', just pluck it out; better to lose one part than for your whole self to end up in the fire.
And if your right hand is causing you to slip, chop it off; it’s better to lose a member than for your whole body to get thrown into the fire.
It’s been said, if you wanna ditch your wife, you gotta give her a divorce paper, no cap.
But I’m telling you, if you ditch your wife for anything but cheating, you’re making her cheat too; and if you marry a divorced chick, you’re just being sus.
Again, you heard it back in the day, don’t break your promises, keep it 100 with the Lord.
But I’m saying, don’t swear at all; not even by heaven, 'cause that’s where God chills.
Don’t swear by the earth either; it’s just His footstool, and Jerusalem is the city of the ultimate King, fr.
And don’t swear by your own head, 'cause you can’t even change one hair from black to white, periodt.
Just keep it simple: say yes or no; anything more is just drama.
You’ve heard it said, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, lit.
But I’m telling you, don’t fight back; if someone slaps you on one cheek, just turn and give them the other side too, savage.
And if someone tries to sue you for your shirt, just give them your coat too, no cap.
If someone vibes you to walk a mile, just double it and go two, no cap.
Hook up those who ask you for stuff, and don’t ghost the ones who wanna borrow.
You’ve heard it said, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy," but that’s sus.
But I’m telling you, love your haters, bless those who throw shade, do good for the ones who can’t stand you, and pray for those who use you and come at you.
That way, you’ll be the real fam of your Father in heaven, ‘cause He makes the sun rise on the good and the bad, and sends rain on everyone, lit or not.
If you only love those who love you back, what’s the flex? Even the tax collectors do that.
And if you’re only saying what’s up to your crew, how are you any different? Even the tax collectors roll like that.
So be perfect, just like your Father in heaven is straight-up perfect.
