Gen Z: Leviticus 24
And the Lord hit up Moses, saying,
Tell the squad of Israel to bring some pure olive oil, like, the good stuff, to keep the lamps lit 24/7.
Aaron's gotta keep it fresh in the tabernacle, from evening to morning, no cap; it’s a forever vibe for your fam.
He’s gotta keep those lamps shining on the pure candlestick before the Lord, always.
Grab some fine flour and whip up twelve cakes: two tenths in each cake, no joke.
Stack them in two rows, six in each, on the pure table before the Lord, fr.
Toss pure frankincense on each row, making it a dope memorial offering to the Lord.
Every sabbath, he’s gotta set it up before the Lord, taken from the kids of Israel by a forever promise.
It’s for Aaron and his sons; they’re gonna munch on it in the holy spot, 'cause it’s super holy from the Lord’s fire offerings.
A dude whose mom was Israelite and dad was Egyptian stepped out with the squad, and he and an Israelite had a beef in the camp.
The Israelite’s kid dissed the Lord’s name and cursed. They brought him to Moses: (his mom was Shelomith, daughter of Dibri from Dan's tribe).
They put him on lock so the Lord could show them what’s good.
And the Lord hit up Moses again, saying,
Bring out the one who cursed outside the camp; let everyone who heard him lay hands on him, and the whole crew should stone him.
Tell the squad of Israel, if anyone curses their God, they gotta deal with their sin.
If someone disses the Lord’s name, they’re getting the death penalty, and everyone’s stoning them, whether they’re a local or a stranger.
If you kill someone, you’re definitely getting put to death, no cap.
If you kill a beast, you gotta make it right; beast for beast, that’s how it goes.
If someone messes up their neighbor, whatever they did, that’s what’s coming back to them.
Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; if you cause a blemish, it’s gotta come back to you, periodt.
If you kill a beast, you gotta replace it; if you take a life, you’re getting the death sentence.
You all gotta have the same law, for the stranger and your own peeps: 'cause I’m the Lord your God.
And Moses told the squad of Israel to bring out the one who cursed from the camp and stone him. And they did just as the Lord told Moses.
