Gen Z: Judges 17
So there was this dude from Mount Ephraim, name's Micah, no cap.
He told his mom, "Yo, that 1100 shekels of silver you cursed about? I got it, I took it." Mom's like, "Bless up, my son!"
After giving back the 1100 shekels, his mom was like, "I dedicated that cash to the Lord for you to make some sick idols, but now I’ll give it back."
Still, he gave the money back to his mom; she took 200 shekels and gave it to the craftsman to make those idols, which were in Micah's crib.
Micah had a whole house of gods, made an ephod and some teraphim, and even made one of his sons a priest.
Back then, Israel had no king, so everyone was just doing their own thing, vibing however they felt.
There was this young dude from Bethlehem-Judah, part of the fam of Judah, who was a Levite and was just chilling there.
He bounced from Bethlehem-Judah, looking for a spot, and ended up at Micah's place in Mount Ephraim while he was on the move.
Micah asked him, "Where you coming from?" He replied, "I’m a Levite from Bethlehem-Judah, just trying to find a place to chill."
Micah was like, "Stay with me, be my father and priest, and I’ll hook you up with ten shekels a year, some fresh fits, and food." So the Levite moved in.
The Levite was totally down to stay with Micah; he was like a son to him, fr.
Micah made the Levite a priest, and the dude was living in Micah's house.
Then Micah was like, "Now I know the Lord's gonna bless me, since I got a Levite as my priest."
