Gen Z: Joshua 18
The whole squad of Israel gathered at Shiloh and set up the tabernacle there. The land was totally subdued, no cap.
But seven tribes of Israel were still waiting on their inheritance, like, what’s the hold up?
Joshua was like, "Yo, how long you gonna sleep on claiming the land God gave you?"
Pick three peeps from each tribe, and I’ll send them to scope out the land and report back.
They’ll split it into seven parts: Judah's got the south, and Joseph’s fam’s got the north.
Describe the land in seven parts and bring it to me so I can cast lots for you before the Lord, periodt.
The Levites aren’t getting a part; their inheritance is the priesthood of the Lord. Gad, Reuben, and half of Manasseh already got theirs on the east side of Jordan from Moses.
The guys got up and bounced: Joshua told them to walk the land, check it out, and then come back so I can cast lots for you in Shiloh.
They went through the land, scoped it out by cities, and wrote it down in a book, then they came back to Joshua at Shiloh.
Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the Lord and divided the land for the Israelites according to their tribes.
The fam of Benjamin got their spot, chillin' between Judah and Joseph. Vibes only.
Their north border was from Jordan, rollin' up to Jericho, then up through the mountains. It ended at the wilderness of Beth-aven, no cap.
The border went from there to Luz, which is Beth-el, heading south to Ataroth-adar, near the hill by lower Beth-horon.
The border was drawn from there, wrapping around the sea corner south, from the hill before Beth-horon, ending at Kirjath-baal, aka Kirjath-jearim, a city of Judah. This was the west side, fam.
The south side started at Kirjath-jearim, and the border went out west to the Nephtoah water well, lit.
The border came down to the end of the mountain by the valley of Hinnom, which is in the giant's valley up north, and dropped down to Hinnom, near Jebusi on the south, then to En-rogel.
It was drawn from the north to En-shemesh, then to Geliloth, by the Adummim climb, and dropped down to the stone of Bohan, Reuben's son.
It passed along the north side of Arabah and went down to Arabah, fr.
The border went along the north side of Beth-hoglah, and the border ended at the north bay of the salt sea, at the south end of Jordan. This was the south coast, periodt.
Jordan was the east border. This was the Benjamin fam's inheritance, all around their coasts, according to their fams.
The spots for the fam of Benjamin were Jericho, Beth-hoglah, and the valley of Keziz, no cap.
Also, Beth-arabah, Zemaraim, and Beth-el, vibin' hard.
Plus Avim, Parah, and Ophrah, lit vibes.
And Chephar-haammonai, Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities with their chill spots.
Gibeon, Ramah, and Beeroth, all goated.
Mizpeh, Chephirah, and Mozah, straight bussin'.
Rekem, Irpeel, and Taralah, savage lineup.
Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi (that’s Jerusalem), Gibeath, and Kirjath; fourteen cities with their hangouts. This is the fam's inheritance for Benjamin, periodt.
