Gen Z: Job 32
So these three dudes stopped talking to Job, 'cause he thought he was all that.
Then Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, got mad at Job, 'cause he was flexing on himself instead of God.
Elihu was also heated at Job's three friends, 'cause they had no answers but still threw shade at Job.
Elihu waited for Job to finish talking, 'cause he was the youngest in the squad.
When Elihu saw these three homies had nothing to say, his anger kicked in.
Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, was like, "Yo, I'm young and y'all are ancient; I didn’t wanna drop my thoughts."
I said, "Old heads should drop knowledge, and years should bring wisdom."
But there’s a vibe in people; the Almighty gives them the lowdown.
Just 'cause you're a big shot doesn't mean you're wise; older peeps don’t always get it right.
So I said, "Listen up; I gotta share my thoughts too."
I was just waiting for y’all to talk; I was all ears while you figured out your points.
Yeah, I was tuned in, but none of you convinced Job or answered him back.
Don't say, "We found wisdom"; it's God who puts people down, not us.
Job didn’t throw shade at me, so I’m not gonna hit him with your lines.
They were shook, didn’t say another word; they just stopped chatting.
Since I was waiting (they weren’t saying anything, just standing there, quiet).
I said, "I’ll share my thoughts too; I gotta let it out."
I’m loaded with stuff to say; the spirit in me won’t let me chill.
My insides are like wine that needs to pop; I'm about to burst like fresh bottles.
I’m gonna speak so I can feel better: I’ll open my mouth and drop some answers.
Don’t let me, please, play favorites or give anyone a compliment just to be nice.
'Cause I don’t know how to flatter; if I did, my maker would be like, "Nah, you out."
