Gen Z: Job 20
Zophar the Naamathite popped off and said,
My thoughts are vibing so hard, I gotta spill the tea quick.
I felt the shade being thrown at me, so my brain's like, "Time to respond, fr."
Don’t you know this has been a thing since day one, when humans were put on this planet?
The wicked may flex for a hot sec, but their joy is just sus and short-lived.
Even if they rise high like they’re on cloud nine,
They’ll still ghost like yesterday’s news: people will be like, "Where’d they go?"
They'll vanish like a dream, can't even find them: just a vision that fades away at night.
The eyes that peeped them won’t see them again; their spot will be empty, no cap.
Their kids will try to vibe with the less fortunate, and their hands will bring back what they lost.
His bones are full of bad vibes from his youth, and they’re just gonna chill with him in the dirt.
Even if wickedness tastes sweet, he’s still hiding it like a secret under his tongue;
He’s holding onto it, not letting it go; keeping that sus stuff in his mouth:
But what’s inside him is all messed up, it’s like the poison of snakes in his gut.
He’s swallowed all this cash, but he’s gonna throw it up later: God’s gonna make him spit it out.
He’s gonna suck in the venom from snakes: the viper’s tongue is gonna take him out.
He won’t even see all the dope rivers, the floods, or the sweet brooks of honey and butter.
Everything he worked for, he’s gotta give it back, and he won’t get to enjoy it: it’s all about what he’s got, and he won’t be hyped about it.
'Cause he’s been savage, leaving the poor behind; he’s taken away a crib he didn’t even build.
For real, he won’t find chill in his belly, and he won’t save what he wanted.
Ain't gonna be any leftovers, so no one’s checking for his stuff.
When he's feeling himself, the struggles hit different; all the bad vibes come for him.
Right when he’s about to chow down, God’s gonna drop some serious wrath on him while he’s munching.
He’s gonna bounce from the iron weapon, but that steel bow is gonna hit him hard.
It's pulled out, and yeah, that shiny sword is coming out of him; he’s feeling all the fear.
All the dark secrets are hidden away; a fire that ain't even fanned is gonna roast him; it’s gonna be rough for anyone left in his crib.
The sky’s gonna expose his wrongdoings; the earth’s gonna rise up against him.
The growth of his house is ghosting, and his stuff’s gonna dip on the day of his wrath.
This is what a wicked dude gets from God, and it's the legacy that’s laid out for him by God.
