Gen Z: Job 14
Man born from a woman vibes short-lived and full of drama, no cap.
He pops up like a flower, then gets cut down; he bounces like a shadow, and that's that.
You really gonna check me like that and bring me to court, fam?
Who can pull something clean outta something dirty? No one, fr.
His days are locked in, you got the number of his months, and you set his limits he can't cross;
Just let him chill till he finishes his grind, like a hired hand.
But there's hope for a tree; if it gets chopped, it'll bounce back and sprout again, no cap.
Even if the root gets old in the dirt and the trunk dies in the ground;
It can still bud from the smell of water and grow branches like a plant.
But when man dies, he just fades away; he gives up the ghost, and then what?
Just like the waters dip from the sea and the flood dries up;
So man lays down and doesn't get up; till the heavens are no more, he won't wake up or rise from his sleep.
Oh, if you could just hide me in the grave and keep me on the down low till your anger cools, then remember me!
If a dude dies, can he live again? I'ma wait all my days till my glow-up comes.
You'll call, and I’ll hit you back; you got mad love for your work.
For now, you’re counting my steps; you see my mess-ups, right?
My sins are locked up tight, and you’re stitching up my wrongs.
And for real, when a mountain falls, it’s done for, and the rock gets moved outta place.
The waters wear down the stones; you wash away what grows from the earth's dust, and you crush man's hope.
You keep winning against him, and he just fades away; you change his vibe and send him off.
His kids get all the glory, but he’s totally clueless; they get low, but he doesn't even notice.
But his body feels the pain, and his soul is out here mourning.
