Gen Z: Job 12
Job was like, "Yo, listen up."
No cap, you guys think you're the real ones, but wisdom's gonna ghost you.
But fr, I get it just like you; I ain't less than you: who doesn't know this stuff?
I'm just a dude getting clowned by my neighbor, calling out to God, and the righteous man gets laughed at.
Someone who's about to trip is like a lamp nobody cares about when you're chilling.
The robbers are thriving, and those who test God are vibing; God’s got their back, for real.
But ask the animals, and they'll drop knowledge; the birds will spill the tea.
Or chat with the earth, and it'll school you; the fish in the sea are ready to enlighten you.
Who doesn't see that the Lord’s hand made all this?
In His grip is the soul of every living thing and the breath of all humans.
Don't your ears test words? And your mouth taste food?
Wisdom hangs with the old heads; long life brings understanding.
He's got wisdom and strength; His advice is goated.
Check it, He tears down, and it can't be rebuilt; He shuts a dude up, and there's no way to speak.
Look, He holds back the waters, and they dry up; then He sends them out, flipping the earth upside down.
With Him is mad strength and wisdom; both the tricked and the trickster belong to Him.
He leads counselors to get wrecked and makes judges look dumb.
He breaks the chains of kings and ties them up like it's a fashion statement.
He sends princes away empty-handed and takes down the strong ones.
He silences the trustworthy and snatches the wisdom from the old.
He throws shade on princes and weakens the powerful.
He reveals deep stuff from the dark and brings to light the shadows of death.
He boosts nations and then wrecks them; He expands them and then tightens them back up.
He takes the heart of the top dogs and makes them wander in a wilderness with no GPS.
They fumble in the dark without a light, and He makes them stagger like they’re tipsy.
