Gen Z: Jeremiah 31
At the same time, God’s like, "I’m the vibe for all the fams of Israel, and they’re my peeps."
God said, "The squad that made it through the struggle found grace in the wild; even Israel, when I showed up to give them a break."
The Lord hit me up way back, saying, "No cap, I’ve loved you forever: that’s why I pulled you in with kindness."
I’m gonna build you back up, O Israel, you’re gonna be looking fresh again with your vibes, dancing like a whole mood.
You’re gonna plant vines on the hills of Samaria: the planters will get to munch on them like it’s no big deal.
There’s gonna be a day when the watchmen on Mount Ephraim shout, "Yo, let’s roll up to Zion to vibe with our God!"
For real, the Lord said, "Sing with joy for Jacob, and shout out among the nations: spread the word, praise Him, and say, 'Lord, save your people, the remnant of Israel!'"
Check it, I’m bringing them from the north, gathering them from all over, with the blind and the lame, plus the pregnant ladies: it’s gonna be a squad reunion.
They’ll come crying, and I’ll lead them with prayers: I’ll guide them by the rivers in a straight path where they won’t trip, ‘cause I’m like a dad to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
Listen up, nations, and shout it out from far away: the one who scattered Israel will gather them back, keeping them safe like a shepherd with his flock.
The Lord's got Jacob's back, snatched him from someone way stronger. No cap.
They’re gonna roll up and vibe in Zion, all about that goodness from the Lord with wheat, wine, and oil. Their souls are gonna be like a lit garden, no more sad feels.
The virgins are gonna pop off dancing, young and old together; I’ll turn their sad times into joy, fr.
I’ll bless the priests big time, and my peeps will be satisfied with my goodness, says the Lord.
The Lord said, "I heard a voice in Ramah, straight-up crying; Rachel’s weeping for her kids, can’t be comforted ‘cause they’re gone."
The Lord says, "Chill with the tears, your work’s gonna pay off; they’ll come back from the enemy's land."
There’s hope for you, says the Lord; your kids are gonna come back to their own spot.
I heard Ephraim crying out, "You’ve disciplined me, and I felt it like a bullock not used to the yoke; turn me back, and I’ll be turned, ‘cause you’re my God."
For real, once I turned, I felt regret; after I learned, I was like, "Yikes," feeling ashamed for the drama of my youth.
Is Ephraim my fave son? Is he a chill kid? Since I called him out, I can’t stop thinking about him; my heart’s troubled for him; I’ll definitely show him mercy, says the Lord.
Set up some markers, stack those vibes high: focus on the main road, the path you took before; come back, O Israel, come back to your cities, fr.
How long you gonna be wandering, backsliding daughter? The Lord's doing something new, a woman gonna surround a man, no cap.
The Lord of hosts, God of Israel, said this: they gonna use this talk in Judah and its cities when I bring them back; The Lord bless you, O place of justice, and holy mountain, periodt.
In Judah and all its cities, there gonna be farmers and those with flocks vibing together.
I’ve filled the tired soul, and I’ve refreshed every sad soul, it’s bussin.
I woke up and saw; my sleep was mad sweet, no lie.
The days are coming, says the Lord, when I’ll plant Israel and Judah with people and animals, lit.
Just like I’ve been watching over them to tear down and destroy, I’ll also watch over them to build and plant, says the Lord, goated.
In those days, they won’t say anymore, “The fathers ate sour grapes, and the kids got the bad vibes.”
But everyone gonna face their own mess: whoever eats the sour grape, their teeth gonna feel it, fr.
Yo, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I’m dropping a new vibe with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
Not like the old deal I made with their ancestors when I pulled them outta Egypt; they totally ghosted on that, even though I was like their ride or die, says the Lord.
But here’s the new deal I’m making with Israel; after those days, says the Lord, I’ll drop my law in their hearts and be their God, and they’ll be my peeps.
No one’s gonna teach their neighbor or their bro, saying, “Know the Lord,” ’cause they’ll all know me, from the least to the greatest, says the Lord; I’ll forgive their mess-ups and forget their sins, no cap.
Thus says the Lord, who gives sunlight during the day and moonlight vibes at night, who parts the sea when it’s roaring; the Lord of hosts is his name.
If those vibes ever dip, says the Lord, then Israel’s crew will stop being a nation before me forever.
Thus says the Lord; if you can measure the heavens above or dig deep into the earth, I’ll also drop all of Israel for everything they’ve done, says the Lord.
Yo, the days are coming, says the Lord, when the city will be built for the Lord from the tower of Hananeel to the corner gate.
And the measuring line’s gonna stretch over to the hill Gareb and circle around to Goath.
The whole valley of the dead bodies and ashes, and all the fields to the Kidron brook, up to the horse gate eastward, will be holy to the Lord; it won’t be uprooted or thrown down ever again.
