Gen Z: Isaiah 65
I’m lowkey found by peeps who weren’t even looking for me; I’m like, “Yo, check me out,” to a squad that didn’t even vibe with my name.
I got my hands out all day to a rebellious crew, walking in sus ways, just doing their own thing.
A people who keep pushing my buttons right in my face; they’re out here sacrificing in gardens and burning incense on brick altars, no cap.
They chill among graves and stay in monuments, munching on swine and sipping on the most abominable stuff, fr.
They’re like, “Stay away from me, I’m holier than you.” These vibes are straight up smoky in my nose, like a fire that won’t quit.
Bet, it’s all written down: I ain’t gonna stay silent, but I’ll hit them back, no cap.
Your bad vibes and your fam’s bad vibes together, says the Lord, who’ve been burning incense on mountains and dissing me on hills: I’m gonna measure their past actions back to them.
The Lord says, just like new wine is found in the cluster, and someone’s like, “Don’t waste it; there’s a blessing in it,” I’ll do the same for my crew, so I don’t wipe them all out.
I’ll bring a new generation out of Jacob, and from Judah an inheritor of my mountains: my chosen ones will take it, and my crew will chill there.
Sharon’s gonna be a hangout for flocks, and the valley of Achor will be a chill spot for herds to lay down, for my peeps who’ve been seeking me.
But y’all are the ones who ghost the Lord, forget my holy mountain, set up a table for that crew, and pour drinks for that squad.
So I’m counting y’all for the sword, and you’re all gonna bow down to the slaughter: when I called, you ghosted; when I spoke, you didn’t listen; you did evil in my sight and chose what I ain’t vibe with.
So the Lord God says, check it: my crew will eat, but you’ll be starving; my crew will drink, but you’ll be thirsty; my crew will be vibing, but you’ll feel that shame.
My crew will be singing for joy, but you’ll be crying from sorrow, howling from vexation of spirit, periodt.
You’ll leave your name as a curse for my chosen ones: the Lord God’s gonna take you out and call his crew by another name.
Whoever blesses themselves on this earth will vibe with the God of truth; and whoever swears will swear by the God of truth; former troubles are forgotten and hidden from my sight.
For real, I’m creating new heavens and a new earth: the old stuff won’t be remembered or even come to mind.
But be hyped and rejoice forever in what I create: for I’m making Jerusalem a place of joy, and her people a straight-up vibe.
I’ll be vibing in Jerusalem, and feeling joy in my people: no more weeping or crying will be heard there.
There won’t be any babies dying early, or old folks who didn’t live their days: a child will die at a hundred, but a sinner at a hundred will be cursed.
They’ll build their own houses and live in them; they’ll plant vineyards and enjoy the fruit.
They won’t build for others or plant for others to eat: just like the days of a tree are the days of my people, my chosen ones will enjoy the work of their hands for a long time.
They won’t work in vain or bring forth for trouble; they’re the blessed seed of the Lord, and their offspring too.
And it’ll go down like this: before they call, I’ll answer; while they’re still talking, I’ll hear.
The wolf and the lamb will chill together, and the lion will eat straw like a bull; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They won’t hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, says the Lord.
