Gen Z: Isaiah 52
Yo, wake up Zion! Put on your strength and your fly outfits, Jerusalem, the holy city: no more sus vibes from the uncircumcised and unclean.
Shake off that dust, rise up, and chill, Jerusalem: break free from the chains, captive daughter of Zion.
For real, the Lord said y’all sold yourselves for nothing; but you’ll be redeemed for free, no cap.
The Lord God said, “My peeps went to Egypt to chill; and the Assyrians were savage to them for no reason.”
So what’s up, says the Lord? Why are my people taken for no reason? The rulers make them howl, and my name gets dissed every day.
My people will know my name: they’ll get it that day that I’m the one speaking: it’s me, no cap.
How lit are the feet on the mountains of the one bringing good news, spreading peace; bringing good tidings of salvation, saying to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Your watchmen will shout together; they’ll vibe together when they see eye to eye, when the Lord brings back Zion.
Pop off with joy, sing together, you empty spots of Jerusalem: the Lord has comforted his people, he’s redeemed Jerusalem.
The Lord flexed his holy arm in front of all the nations; and everyone will see the salvation of our God.
Bounce, bounce, get out of there, touch nothing unclean; leave her midst, stay clean, you who carry the Lord’s stuff.
You won’t dip out quick or run away: the Lord’s got your back, and the God of Israel is your rear guard.
Check it, my servant will handle things wisely, he’ll be hyped up and super high.
Many were shook by him; his looks were so wrecked more than any dude, and his form more than the sons of men.
He’ll sprinkle many nations; kings will be speechless at him: what they never heard, they’ll see; and what they never got told, they’ll think about.
