Gen Z: Hosea 5
Yo, listen up, priests and fam of Israel; peep this, house of the king: judgment’s coming for you, 'cause you’ve been a total trap on Mizpah and a net on Tabor.
The rebels are savage, ready to pop off, even though I’ve been calling them out.
I see you, Ephraim, and Israel ain't hiding from me: for real, Ephraim, you’re acting sus, and Israel’s all messed up.
They won’t change their ways to turn back to their God: the vibe of whoredoms is all around them, and they don’t even know the Lord.
Israel’s pride is straight up in their face: so Israel and Ephraim are gonna fall hard in their mess; Judah’s gonna fall too, no cap.
They’ll roll out with their flocks and herds to find the Lord, but they won’t catch Him; He’s ghosting them.
They’ve been shady with the Lord: they’ve made some sus kids; now a month’s gonna eat them up with their stuff.
Blast the horn in Gibeah and the trumpet in Ramah: shout out at Beth-aven, what’s good, Benjamin?
Ephraim’s gonna be all empty on the day of rebuke: I’ve made it clear among the tribes of Israel what’s about to go down.
The leaders of Judah are like those who mess with boundaries: so I’m gonna unleash my anger on them like a flood.
Ephraim’s all crushed and broken in judgment, 'cause he chose to roll with the commandment.
So I’ll be like a moth to Ephraim, and to Judah, I’ll be like decay.
When Ephraim saw his sickness and Judah saw his wound, Ephraim hit up the Assyrian and sent a message to king Jareb: but he couldn’t heal you or fix your wound, fr.
I’ll be like a lion to Ephraim and a young lion to Judah: I’m about to tear and dip; I’ll take away, and no one’s gonna save him.
I’ll bounce back to my spot until they own up to their wrongs and seek my face: in their struggles, they’ll be looking for me early.
