Gen Z: Daniel 9
In the first year of Darius, son of Ahasuerus, he was king of the Chaldeans, and that’s some major rizz.
In his first year, I, Daniel, peeped the books and realized the Lord was like, "We’re hitting 70 years of chillin’ in Jerusalem's desolation," no cap.
I turned to the Lord God, ready to pop off with prayer, supplications, and some serious fasting with sackcloth and ashes, fr.
I prayed to my God, confessing like, "Yo Lord, you’re the GOAT, keeping it real with your covenant and mercy for those who love you and follow your rules."
We’ve messed up, done wicked things, and totally rebelled by ditching your precepts and judgments, straight up savage.
We haven’t listened to your prophets who spoke your truth to our kings, princes, and fam, to everyone around here.
Yo Lord, righteousness is yours, but we’re out here looking confused, like, for real, to the people of Judah and all Israel, no matter where they are, because we messed up big time.
Lord, we’re the ones looking sus, our kings and fam too, 'cause we totally sinned against you.
To our God belong mad mercies and forgivenesses, even though we’ve been rebellious, periodt.
We didn’t vibe with the voice of the Lord our God, ignoring the laws He laid out through His prophets, and that’s just facts.
Yo, all of Israel straight-up broke your rules, dipped out, and ignored your voice; now we’re stuck with this curse and the promise written in Moses’ law, 'cause we totally messed up.
He confirmed what he said about us and our judges, bringing some major drama: nothing like this has gone down in Jerusalem, fr.
As Moses said, all this chaos hit us, but we didn’t even pray to our God to turn from our mess-ups and get the truth, no cap.
So the Lord peeped the bad vibes and let it happen: our God is righteous in all he does, and we ignored his voice, periodt.
Now, Lord our God, you brought your people outta Egypt with mad power and made a name for yourself; we’ve sinned and been wildin’.
O Lord, based on your righteousness, I’m begging you to chill with the anger towards your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain: 'cause our sins made Jerusalem and your people a joke to everyone around us.
So now, our God, listen to your servant’s prayer and pleas, and let your face shine on your empty sanctuary, for your sake.
O my God, turn your ear and listen; open your eyes and see our struggles and the city named after you: we’re not asking for our own good vibes but for your epic mercy.
O Lord, hear us; O Lord, forgive us; O Lord, listen and act; don’t wait, for your own sake, O my God: your city and your people are called by your name.
While I was talking, praying, and owning up to my sin and my people’s sin, I was laying my request before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;
So, while I was praying, the homie Gabriel, who I saw in my vision earlier, swooped in real quick and touched me around evening vibes.
He hit me with some knowledge and said, "Yo Daniel, I’m here to drop some skill and understanding on you."
Right when you started praying, the command came through, and I'm here to spill the tea; you’re super loved, so get the deets and peep the vision.
Seventy weeks are set for your squad and holy city to wrap up the mess, end the sins, make peace for the wrongs, bring in forever righteousness, seal the vision and prophecy, and anoint the ultimate Holy.
So know this: from the time the command drops to rebuild Jerusalem until the Messiah Prince, it’ll be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street and wall will be rebuilt, even when times are sus.
After sixty-two weeks, the Messiah gets cut off, but not for himself; the crew of the prince coming in will wreck the city and sanctuary, and it’ll end in a flood, with desolation vibes until the war’s over.
He’s gonna lock in the covenant with many for one week; in the middle of that week, he’ll stop the sacrifices and offerings, and for all the wild stuff going down, it’ll be made desolate until the end, and what’s set will hit the desolate.
