Gen Z: 2 Chronicles 26
All the peeps in Judah were like, "Bet," and crowned Uzziah king at just sixteen, taking over for his dad Amaziah.
He built Eloth and gave it back to Judah, then the king passed away, no cap.
Uzziah was just sixteen when he started reppin' as king, and he ruled for 52 years in Jerusalem. His mom's name? Jecoliah, straight outta Jerusalem.
He did what was right in God's eyes, keeping it 100 like his dad Amaziah.
He was all about seeking God during Zechariah's days, who had mad insights from God. As long as he was vibing with the Lord, God blessed him, fr.
Uzziah popped off and went to war against the Philistines, smashing down the walls of Gath, Jabneh, and Ashdod, building cities around Ashdod and the Philistines.
God had his back against the Philistines and the Arabians chilling in Gur–baal, and the Mehunims.
The Ammonites sent gifts to Uzziah, and his name was lit all the way to Egypt because he was flexing hard.
Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, valley gate, and wall turns, and he fortified those spots, no cap.
He also threw up towers in the desert and dug tons of wells, 'cause he had mad cattle in the lowlands and plains, plus farmers and vine dressers in the mountains and Carmel—he was all about that farm life.
Uzziah had a squad of fighters that rolled out to war in crews, counted up by Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the ruler, under Hananiah, one of the king’s captains.
The main dudes leading the mighty men were 2,600 strong, straight up.
Under them was a whole army of 307,500 flexing hard, ready to back the king against the enemies.
Uzziah hooked them up with shields, spears, helmets, and bows, getting them all geared up, fr.
He crafted some wild engines in Jerusalem, made by clever peeps, to shoot arrows and big stones from the towers and walls. His name spread far and wide 'cause he was helped in a major way until he got super strong.
But when he got strong, his heart got all inflated, leading to his downfall: he messed with the Lord his God and walked into the temple to burn incense on the altar.
Azariah the priest rolled in after him with 80 priests of the Lord, all brave and bold.
They stood up to Uzziah, saying, "Yo, Uzziah, this ain't your gig to burn incense; that's for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are set apart for that. Bounce outta the sanctuary; you crossed the line, and it ain't gonna be good for you with the Lord."
Uzziah got mad, holding a censer to burn incense, but while he was fuming at the priests, leprosy popped up on his forehead right in front of them at the Lord's house, next to the incense altar.
Azariah the chief priest and all the priests peeped him, and boom, he was leprous on his forehead. They kicked him out, and he was in a hurry to leave 'cause the Lord had hit him with that.
Uzziah stayed a leper until he died, living in a separate house, cut off from the Lord's house; Jotham, his son, took over the king's duties, judging the people.
The rest of Uzziah's exploits, from start to finish, were written by Isaiah the prophet, son of Amoz.
So Uzziah passed away, and they buried him with his fam in the kings' burial field, saying, "He was a leper," and Jotham, his son, took the throne.
