Gen Z: 1 Kings 6
So like, four hundred and eighty years after the Israelites dipped from Egypt, in Solomon's fourth year, in the month Zif, he started building the Lord's crib. Big vibes.
The house Solomon built for the Lord was 60 cubits long, 20 cubits wide, and 30 cubits tall. Straight up lit.
The porch in front of the temple was 20 cubits long, matching the house's width, and 10 cubits wide. No cap, it was dope.
For the house, he made some narrow windows that let in light. Bussin.
He built chambers all around the house, matching the walls of both the temple and the oracle. Savage setup.
The bottom chamber was 5 cubits wide, the middle one was 6, and the third was 7. He made sure the walls had narrowed rests for the beams, so they wouldn't mess up the walls.
While building the house, they used prepped stone, so no hammer, axe, or iron tools were heard in there. Just chill vibes.
The door to the middle chamber was on the right side, and they climbed winding stairs to get to the middle and then up to the third.
He built the house and wrapped it up; covered it with cedar beams and boards. Goated finish.
Then he added chambers around the whole house, 5 cubits high, chillin' on the house with cedar timber. Periodt.
God hit up Solomon and was like, "Yo, listen up."
About this house you’re building, if you vibe with my rules and keep it 100, then I’ll keep my promise to you like I did with your dad David.
I’ll chill with the Israelites and won’t ghost my peeps, no cap.
So Solomon got to building and wrapped it up, fr.
He decked out the walls with cedar vibes, flooring and ceilings all looking fresh, and covered the inside with wood, making it all bussin.
He built twenty cubits on the sides, flooring and walls all cedar, even for the oracle, which is the real holy spot.
The temple itself was forty cubits long, just lit.
Inside, the cedar was all carved up with cool designs and flowers, no stone anywhere, just pure cedar vibes.
He set up the oracle inside to put the ark of the covenant of the Lord there, straight up.
The oracle was twenty cubits long, wide, and tall, all decked out in pure gold, covering the cedar altar like a boss.
So Solomon went all out, lining the inside of the crib with pure gold, flexing with gold chains in front of the oracle. Major rizz.
He decked the whole house in gold, like it was a vibe, even the altar by the oracle got that gold treatment. No cap.
Inside the oracle, he crafted two cherubs outta olive wood, each a solid ten cubits tall. That's lit.
One wing of the cherub was five cubits, the other wing was the same, so together they spanned ten cubits. Savage.
The other cherub was also ten cubits, and both were on the same level, same size. Periodt.
Each cherub stood ten cubits high, no doubt about it.
He placed the cherubs in the inner house, spreading their wings so one touched one wall and the other touched the opposite wall. They were vibing in the middle.
He covered the cherubs in gold too, just to keep it consistent.
He carved the walls all around with dope designs of cherubs, palm trees, and flowers, both inside and out. Bussin'.
The floor of the house? Yep, all gold too, inside and out. Major flex.
For the entrance to the oracle, he made these dope olive wood doors, and the frame was like a fifth of the wall, no cap.
The two doors were also made of olive wood; he carved cherubs, palm trees, and flowers on them, then covered everything in gold. That’s some serious rizz.
He also made the temple door posts outta olive wood, and they were a fourth of the wall, fr.
The two doors were made of fir tree; one door had two folding leaves, and the other door was the same, lit.
He carved cherubs, palm trees, and flowers on them too, then laid gold over the carvings. Pure bussin.
He built the inner court with three rows of cut stone and a row of cedar beams, vibes.
In the fourth year, they laid the foundation for the Lord’s house in the month of Zif, periodt.
And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished in all its parts. Took him seven years, savage.
