Gen Z: 1 Chronicles 15
David was all about those vibes, building houses in the city and setting up a tent for the ark of God. Total goated move.
David was like, "Only the Levites can carry the ark, no cap. God chose them to handle that holy stuff forever."
David gathered all of Israel in Jerusalem to bring the Lord's ark to its lit spot he had prepped.
David called up the fam, the kids of Aaron and the Levites, to get things popping.
From Kohath's crew, Uriel was the chief, and he brought along a hundred and twenty bros.
For Merari, Asaiah was the chief, rolling with two hundred and twenty peeps.
From Gershom, Joel was the chief, and he had a squad of a hundred and thirty.
Elizaphan's squad had Shemaiah as chief, bringing two hundred homies.
Hebron's crew had Eliel as chief, with eighty bros backing him up.
Uzziel's fam had Amminadab as chief, rolling deep with a hundred and twelve.
David hit up Zadok and Abiathar, the priests, plus the Levites, Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab, no cap.
He was like, "Yo, you’re the top fam of the Levites: get yourselves right, you and your crew, so we can roll the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the spot I set up for it."
For real, since you didn’t do it right at first, the Lord our God had to step in, 'cause we weren’t vibing with Him in the correct way.
So the priests and Levites got their act together to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel.
The Levite kids carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the staves, just like Moses said, periodt.
David told the chief Levites to get their crew to be the singers with instruments, like psalteries and harps, poppin’ off with joy.
So the Levites chose Heman, Joel's kid; and his bro, Asaph, Berechiah’s son; plus Ethan, Merari’s son, fr.
And with them were their second-degree fam, Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Elipheleh, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters, no cap.
So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were set to jam with brass cymbals;
And Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah were all about the psalteries on Alamoth.
Mattithiah, Elipheleh, Mikneiah, Obed–edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah were vibin' with harps on the Sheminith, just poppin' off.
Chenaniah, the Levite boss, was all about that song life, teaching the crew 'cause he had mad skills.
Berechiah and Elkanah were the doorkeepers for the ark, no cap.
Shebaniah, Jehoshaphat, Nethaneel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, were blowin' trumpets before the ark of God, while Obed–edom and Jehiah held it down as doorkeepers.
So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains were on their way to bring up the ark of the Lord from Obed–edom's crib, all hyped up.
And when God helped the Levites carry the ark, they offered seven bullocks and seven rams, fr.
David was drippin' in a fine linen robe, and all the Levites carrying the ark, plus the singers, and Chenaniah the song master were also lookin' fresh with linen ephods.
All Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with mad shouts, trumpets, and cymbals, making a lit noise with psalteries and harps.
As the ark rolled into the city of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, peeped David dancing and playing from her window and was lowkey hatin' on him in her heart.
